What does a cinch service include?
We provide two types of service for petrol and diesel cars: full (£149 inc. VAT) and major (£249 inc. VAT). These prices are fixed for all cars we service.
A full service includes:
Engine oil change
Oil filter and air filter change
Top-up screenwash and coolant if required
49-point check (full list below)
A major service includes:
You'll get all the same work and checks as a full service, but with these additional items:
Replace the cabin filter
Drain and refill the brake fluid, matched to your car's required grade
Top-up the clutch fluid if required
Top-up the power steering fluid if required
Perform a full diagnostic scan of the car and report any faults in any system

Whether you're booking a full or major service, here's a full list of work, checks and reporting you'll get when you service your car with us.
Servicing work
Drain and refill the engine oil, matched to your car's required grade
Replace the engine oil filter
Replace the air filter and clean the housing
Reset all tyre pressures to the manufacturer standard
Reset all wheel nuts to the manufacturer torque requirements
Top-up the windscreen washer fluid if required
Top-up the engine coolant if required
Reset the service light or service counter
Stamp the service book to show the service has been conducted at a cinch service centre
Interior checks
Brake operation through the pedal
Operation of the steering controls
Operation of the clutch (if fitted to the car) and adjust if required
Operation of the gearbox
The horn is functioning correctly
Operation of interior lights
Condition and operation of the driver's mirrors (rear-view and external door mirrors)
Operation of the air-con
Seatbelts on all seats, including the lap belts
Operation of all external locks and handles
Exterior checks
Vehicle body for any visible damage
Wheels and/or wheel trims for damage
Visual check for exhaust smoke when the engine is running
Operation of exterior lights
Condition of the wheel hubs and bearings
Tyre size and tyre specification are correct for the vehicle
Tyre condition and tread depths on all tyres (including the spare if there is one in the car)
Windscreen wiper condition and operation (ensure they clear the screen correctly)
Rear screen wiper condition and operation (if fitted to the car)
Screen washer operation
Headlight washer operation (if fitted to the car)
Windscreen for chips and cracks
Condition of the number plate
Operation of the number plate lights
Glow plug indicator is operational (if fitted to the car)
Engine bay checks
Check for any fluid leaks
Check the timing belt replacement interval and report if a service is required
Check the condition of the radiator and cooling fans
Check seals on the coolant and radiator cap seals
Check the condition and tension of any auxiliary drive belts
Check the spark plug replacement interval and report if a service is required
Provide a report of the battery health
Test alternator charging rate

Drive shaft gaiters for security and leaks
Gearbox for signs of damage or leaks

Step 2: Arrival
We’ll chat through your recent experiences with the car, including anything specific you’d like us to look at
Step 3: The service
During the service you’re welcome to wait on our comfy sofas and enjoy a free coffee, or go and come back. After the service, we’ll take payment and talk to you about any additional work we feel might be needed
Step 4: Additional work
If we advise your car needs more work we’ll be fully transparent with the costs - both parts and labour. It’s your call what to do next - there will be no pressure from us to do any extra work
