Unique or limited edition A1 colour options

The Audi A1 was first launched in 2010, with the second generation arriving in 2019. There’s always been a range of colours on offer, plus some special editions.

Limited edition Audi A1 models include the Citrus Yellow and black ‘Follow Me’ model, and the ‘Competition Kit’ model in Amalfi White with red detailing.

There was also the Aubergine Purple ‘Fashion’ model and the ‘Hot Rod’ in Daytona Grey.

Unveiled at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show was the A1 Samurai Blue model. It was a Japanese special edition model inspired by the national soccer team. This model included red wheels, a blue and white body and a black interior with blue stitching.

Taking care of your A1's paintwork

Once you’ve chosen your Audi A1 colour and got to know your new car, the next step is to understand how to take care of that precious paintwork.

Upkeeping your car’s exterior with proper cleaning and paint protection will mean that your A1 will look fresher for longer and will hopefully not see as much depreciation.

Cleaning

One of the best things you can do for any car is keep it clean. Your Audi A1 will thank you for giving it a regular wash, as dirt can build up and damage the paintwork.

A dirty car can also increase the likelihood of rust, and this can definitely do a number on your Audi A1’s paint job.

We have plenty of top tips for cleaning your car, but our main one would be to always rinse off before you get started on soaping.

You’ll want to give your A1 a good wash down to remove any loose dirt, and then follow up with lukewarm water, a cloth and car shampoo.

You can also grab some bug and tar remover to battle stubborn grime such as bird droppings and dead insects.

We also recommend giving your Audi A1 a good drying off as well. Take a dry cloth and buff out the paintwork to prevent any water marks.

Finally, you might want to invest in a good car wax to offer lasting protection to your Audi A1's colour.

Paint protection

If you’re buying a used Audi A1 from cinch, we offer cinchShield paint, glass and interior protection with Autoglym Lifeshine. This is a three-part treatment that protects against stains, dirt and other harsh contaminants.

You might find car dealers can offer different types of paint protection when you’re buying a used Audi A1, or you might want to invest in a product yourself.

Car body shops often offer services to apply a paint protector to your car. This can stop your Audi A1 from being damaged by dirt, grime and scratches.

Which colour used Audi A1 should I buy?

There’s no right or wrong way to choose your Audi A1 colour. It’ll mostly be based on personal preference.

Grey Audi A1 models are popular, with shades like Manhattan Grey, Chronos Grey and Arrow Grey coming close.

For a red Audi A1, you can pick the eye-catching Misano Red that’s as fiery as it sounds. It can be found on all A1 models, but really compliments the S Line badging for a matching look.

White Audi A1 models are also popular, with Glacier White and Shell White to choose from. Glacier is a metallic tone while Shell is solid – both are available on all A1 models.

You might also want to consider the environment you live in. A white Audi A1 might not be the most sensible if you live in a rural area that gets muddy quickly.

It might also be worth looking at the resale value of Audi A1 models to see which colours hold their value, if this is important to you.
