How big is the Honda Jazz's boot space?

The Honda Jazz is a sensible option for drivers that want space and practicality – so how much boot space do you get?

article hero

Despite being a roomy and practical car, the Honda Jazz is far from chunky or bulky, meaning that sliding into tricky parking spots will be a piece of cake.

It also has a good fuel economy, helping you keep running costs to a minimum.

Couple all that with good looks and easy drivability for daily city journeys, and the Honda Jazz ticks a lot of boxes.

When it comes to boot capacity, you’ll have plenty of room for your weekly shopping or suitcases – what’s not to like?

What are the Honda Jazz's boot dimensions?

For a standard hatchback, the boot dimensions of a Honda Jazz are pretty decent, so you shouldn't have to worry about leaving your essentials behind!

The first Honda Jazz made an appearance in 2001, and roughly 20 years later, its fourth generation was introduced on the market.

The latest Jazz iteration has a 1.5-litre hybrid engine option and also comes with different trim levels, such as SR, SE, EX and S.

Generally speaking, they are all relatively aligned in terms of boot capacity, with the exception of the Honda Jazz S.

Honda Jazz (SR, SE and EX) dimensions

  • Load width: 1,200mm

  • Boot capacity (seats upright): 304 litres

  • Boot capacity (seats down): 1,205 litres

Honda Jazz S dimensions

  • Load width: 1,200mm

  • Boot capacity (seats upright): 354 litres

  • Boot capacity (seats down): 1,205 litres

If you want more boot capacity when there are four passengers onboard, the Honda Jazz S will give you an extra 50 litres of space.

However, if you’re happy with the ‘standard’ dimensions, you’ll get plenty more room when the seats are folded down.

How big is a Honda Jazz boot?

As mentioned, the boot capacity of a ‘standard’ Honda Jazz is generous, giving you ample space to ferry around your stuff on a daily basis.

If you have travellers sitting at the back, you’ll still be able to benefit from 304 litres of space – not bad at all!

But if there’s only you and another passenger at the front, you can fold down those rear seats and earn an impressive 1,205 litres of space.

How many seats are in a Honda Jazz?

All Honda Jazz models provide seating for up to five, with two standard seats at the front and a three-seat bench at the back.

What makes the Honda Jazz truly unique is its ‘Magic Seats’ system. Like at the cinema, this system allows you to lift your backseat cushions and safely store larger loads behind the front seats.

This means you can configure your space to suit your needs despite the compact size.
