When it comes to affordable cars, there are very few options greater than the Nissan Qashqai, offering space, comfort and plenty of tech. 

Not every Qashqai comes as standard with a panoramic sunroof, so if you want this option, you’ll need one with the Pan roof pack or the top-spec Tekna trim. 

We especially like a sunroof in a Qashqai because it lets the light in and means your children can look up and out at the world.

Range Rover Velar 

SUV with a panoramic sunroof 

There’s nothing that says ‘posh SUV’ like the Range Rover Velar with its plush leather seats, 11.4-inch touchscreen and most importantly, its large sunroof. 

However, if you want this option, you’ll need to go for a Dynamic SE, Dynamic HSE or Autobiography trim. 

And even when you’re off-roading (not that many Velar drivers do), you and your passengers can enjoy the sky through the top when the windows are covered in mud.

Kia Picanto  

Small car with a sunroof 

It used to be the case that only luxury saloons and SUVs came with sunroofs, but now small cars like the Kia Picanto do too. 

The model you’ll want is the X-Lines S or GT-Line S which comes with an opening sunroof at the front part of the car. 

This lets lots of light into an otherwise quite small cabin.

Polestar 2 

Electric car with a panoramic sunroof 

Most electric cars come fully loaded these days. They tend to be priced a little higher but are all about the greatest number of features possible. 

The Polestar 2 is a superb electric car, though not all trims come with a panoramic sunroof, instead, you’ll need the Plus Pack or Pilot Pack to unlock this. 

Having a sunroof on an electric car can make you feel even closer to nature and is perfect for a summer breeze adding to the silence of its electric motor.

Hyundai Tucson  

Hybrid car with a panoramic sunroof 

There are lots of hybrid cars on the market, but we’ve chosen the Hyundai Tucson for this one because of its long sunroof that spans the length of the cabin. 

This is available in N Line S and Ultimate trims and is a great way to let more light into the cabin, plus the front bit opens to let fresh air in.

Mercedes C-Class 

Automatic car with a panoramic sunroof 

Owning an automatic car already has so many benefits, but if you can find one with a sunroof like the Mercedes C-Class, you’re in for a treat. 

If you want a C-Class with a panoramic sunroof then you’ll need the AMG-Line Premium trim which adds a bunch of other exclusive luxury features. 

Even if you wanted the convertible but didn’t want a fabric roof which gets dirty, you can benefit from an almost-open-top design with a sunroof.
