The Ford Puma and Nissan Juke are pretty much opposites when it comes to styling.
Although the older model was bubbly and round, the latest Nissan Juke is sharp and angled with squinting headlights.
The Puma kind of fills in the gap the Juke left with its current look, offering a round and curvy exterior that looks you can tell is related to Ford’s hatchbacks.
Both get a chunky honeycomb grille at the front, and there are loads of alloy wheel options across both ranges.
They also both come with vibrant colour options. The Puma, with options like Fantastic Red and Mean Green, and the Juke, with shades such as Iconic Yellow and Magnetic Blue.

The standard Ford Puma comes with a couple of three-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol engines, both having mild hybrid assistance. These come with a choice of 125hp or 155hp.
The Nissan Juke offering is also pretty simple. There's a 1.0-litre petrol with 114hp, or a 1.6-litre self-charging hybrid with a combined output of 139hp.
The hybrid tech in both models boosts efficiency, so it’s ideal for a daily car. The hybrid Puma claims up to 52.3mpg, while the hybrid Juke gets up to 57.6mpg.
They’re both comfortable to drive, but the Puma can have more horsepower if that’s what matters to you.

Boot space in both models switches up depending on the engine and generation you opt for.
The latest Juke gets a 422-litre boot (or 1,305 litres with the seats folded) but that shrinks to 354 litres in models prior to 2019 or the hybrids.
The Puma gets a 456-litre boot in the standard model, or 1,216 litres with the rear seats folded.
Pick either of these and you’ll get a spacious boots, comfortable cabin, and impressive fuel efficiency make both cars a sensible choice for daily driving.

Euro NCAP safety ratings are a helpful indicator of car safety, and the Nissan Juke scored a full five-star rating in 2019. That’s made up of a 94% occupant safety rating for adults and 85% for children.
The Ford Puma isn’t far behind, with a four-star rating in 2022. This includes a 75% adult occupant rating and 84% child occupant rating.
The Puma still gets boat-loads of safety tech, including blind spot monitoring, road sign recognition, cross traffic alert, and extra hill start assist control.
You’ll find the Juke slightly more impressive, with the latest models offering ProPILOT Assist driver assistance that monitors the distance between you and the car ahead, a 360-degree bird’s-eye view camera, and traffic sign recognition.
