What size is the Kia Stonic’s boot space?

The perfect getaway car for any urban driver, but how much can you get away with in your boot?

With its name a quirky mixture between ‘speedy’ and ‘tonic’, a used Kia Stonic can be a heart-racing SUV for any petrolhead.

This SUV is a great choice for any urban couple looking to spend some time travelling city roads together, and with electric folding mirrors and automatic headlight control, this car is a breeze to drive. If you’re driving for leisure, you’ll love this car.

Based on the Kia Rio but with a sportier edge, this car is an SUV with Kia’s signature trusty style. The lower seating position and light steering make for a quick-feeling get-away, but if it does feel too low for you, the Rio gives you a much more commanding view of the road.

The Kia Stonic can reach up to 115 mph and go from 0-62mph in approximately 10 seconds, which isn’t something to be sniffed at for an SUV. And with a perky three-cylinder engine, the Stonic sounds great.

What are the Kia Stonic’s boot dimensions?

The Kia Stonic is available in four trims levels, including the Kia Stonic 2, Connect, GT-Line and the GT-Line S. No matter your trim of choice, the boot size is consistent.

Kia Stonic dimensions

  • Maximum boot space with seats up: 352 litres

  • Maximum boot space with seats down: 1,155 litres

The one-litre supercharged petrol engines in every variant offer a good city run, so the Kia Stonic is a great choice for couples who live in the hustle and bustle of a city or town centre.

How big is a Kia Stonic boot?

This would be a great car for the activity-focused among us or empty-nesters looking to enjoy a leisurely car ride. The boot space is large enough for some weekend bags or your weekly food shop, but the true space comes from folding the back seats down, which gives you a generous 1,155 litres to play with!

Even with the seats up, the Stonic’s 352-litre cute boot is practical without being overly large. The magic comes from the inside storage solutions, which include a large glovebox and door bins big enough for large water bottles.

Accessing the boot, there’s a bit of a lip so you will need to lift items and lower them into the boot. However, the wide-opening hatch makes loading long or bulky items a breeze.

How many seats in a Kia Stonic?

The Kia Stonic does have five seats, meaning that in a pinch you can transport four passengers for short trips.

The front seats are especially spacious and low, offering a sporty and comfortable drive, so if you’re a passenger, make sure you’re calling shotgun!

The rear seats can be a bit of a squeeze when at full capacity, so it’s recommended that these are for smaller passengers and kids. With ISOFIX child seat mounting points at the back, your little ones can travel safely and in style.

There’s no doubting this car is one to look out for. After winning the prestigious iF Design Award after its release, this car is the perfect combination of looks and function.
