What size is the Mazda CX-5’s boot space?
Stylish, suave, and spacious – but does the Mazda CX-5's boot space live up to expectations?
Mazda is known for getting the most out of its cars, and the Mazda CX-5 is no different. This stylish SUV crossover gives the best reliability and practicality of any country-driving car without appearing boxy and clunky.
A used Mazda CX-5 offers enough space for you to travel comfortably without compromising on style.
The contrasting large grille and small headlights give this car an impressive yet sleek look, and it’s a sporty number – if you’re a keen driver, you’ll feel right at home.
What are the Mazda CX-5's boot dimensions?
The Mazda CX-5 comes in five different trims. These trims are
Centre-Line – available with a two- or 2.2-litre engine
Newground – available with a two-litre engine
Exclusive-Line – available with a two- or 2.2-litre engine
Homura – available with a two-litre engine
Takumi – available with a two0-, 2.2-, or 2.5-litre engine
Across all trims, the boot size is the same.
However, if you change engine size from two litres to 2.2 litres, as offered in three of the trims, the boot size does change. The 2.5-litre Takumi, however, maintains the same boot size as the other two-litre engine trims.

Mazda CX-5 2.2-litre engine boot dimensions

How big is a Mazda CX-5's boot?
The Mazda CX-5 offers plenty of storage space for the whole family to enjoy. The standard 510 litres offers enough space for all the luggage of a large family for a weekend away, or a slightly smaller family planning to escape for the week.
And if you decide not to use the rear seats, you can have even more space – with the rear capacity increasing to more than 1,300 litres, you can fit in furniture, wheelchairs and pushchairs.
How many seats are in a Mazda CX-5?
In the Mazda CX-5, there’s plenty of space for all the family. This five-seater car is perfect for transporting anyone you need to from point A to B with ease.
The 1,041mm legroom in the front and 1,007mm legroom in the rear is enough for even tall passengers to ride in comfort.
If you choose a trim with a sunroof, such as the Takumi, you can expect the headroom to drop from 1,007.3mm to 998.5mm. However, it is all worth it for all that natural light!
When wanting to travel as a family, making sure your child’s car seats fit safely is important.
There are two ISOFIX points, which can be found on the outer two rear seats, and top tether anchorage points across all three rear seats, adding that extra safety level for your children.
With a choice of petrol and diesel engines, manual or automatic transmission and even an all-wheel-drive option, there’s a Mazda CX-5 to fit your requirements.
