Electric Ford Puma Gen-E: price, specs and release date
Everything you need to know at the all-new electric Ford Puma
The Ford Puma has finally been turned into a fully electric family car for the masses, but what makes it different to the petrol one and should you buy it?
Ford's new electric SUV comes just months after the launch of the all-electric Capri but offers a more familiar package.
Ford Puma Gen-E specs
The new Ford Puma Gen-E is available in two different specs: Select and Premium.
Additionally, there are six colours to choose from: Frozen White, Electric Yellow, Agate Black, Solar Silver, Fantastic Red and Digital Aqua Blue.
Ford Puma Gen-E Select
With this base trim, you get 17-inch alloy wheels, ambient lighting, sat-nav and 5G included.
Ford Puma Gen-E Premium
Move up to the top-spec Premium trim and this unlocks 18-inch alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights, a B&O sound system and an integrated soundbar for all your music needs.
Ford Puma Gen-E interior tech
Inside, Ford made sure to keep the electric Puma more or less the same as the existing model. This means a whole host of impressive tech, including a 12-inch infotainment display (running Ford's latest SYNC 4 system), a 12.8-inch digital driver's display and that optional B&O sound system.
With the added 5G modem, you get faster sat-nav and wireless connectivity because there's nothing worse than slow internet, right?
Boot space is impressive too, with 566 litres and the added Gigabox (under-floor storage) and frunk which adds even more space.
Ford Puma Gen-E electric motors and range
The electric Puma will have a maximum range of 233 miles with fast-charging capabilities giving you 10-80% in just 23.2 minutes, all aided by its onboard 43kWh battery.
There's one power option available – a single-motor setup. It gets 165hp and can accelerate from 0-62mph in around eight seconds.
Ford Puma Gen-E price
The new Ford Puma Gen-E will start from £29,995, which places it in the same class as the Peugeot e-208 and Hyundai Kona Electric.
