The Skoda Kamiq was awarded a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating in 2019, so you know it’s a secure and sturdy car. This includes a 96% adult occupant rating and 85% for children, thanks to the Kamiq’s Crew Protect Assist system and up to nine airbags.   

The Kamiq is widely reviewed as a reliable model, with its drivers praising the running costs and high-quality feel of the car.   

While the Kamiq itself is yet to appear on many reliability rankings, similar models like the Skoda Kodiaq and Karoq rank well and are a great indicator of how the Kamiq will perform.   

How much does the Skoda Kamiq cost to run?

The Skoda Kamiq is an efficient option that’s frugal on fuel, achieving up to 52.6mpg with its 1.0-litre petrol engine.   

Even the larger 1.5-litre petrol can still achieve up to 49.7mpg, and the 1.0-litre petrol with the DSG automatic gearbox gets up to 48.9mpg.  

The latter is one of the least efficient engines offered, which is a good sign for overall fuel economy.   

The Kamiq sits in insurance groups nine to 20, so it shouldn’t be too pricey to insure either.
