Look out for facelifted models, which get all the latest tech and features. Standard cars built after 2023 get adaptive cruise control, keyless entry, matrix LED headlights and dual-zone climate control.

You also get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

We really like the 40:20:40 split folding rear seats – being able to fold down each of the three seats individually gives the best flexibility, and it’s not something that too many cars offer, particularly as standard.

Higher spec models add things like heated seats, a heated steering wheel, power-adjustable front seats, bits of leather trim on the doors and dash, and a Harman/Kardon sound system.

If you’re into your performance, then consider upgrading for things like a limited-slip differential, sports suspension and swanky red brake calipers.

Is the Alfa Romeo Giulia reliable?

There’s no denying that Alfa Romeo used to have a poor reputation for reliability, but boy has that changed.

The company fell into Fiat-Chrysler ownership just before the Giulia went on sale, and it’s now overseen by a bigger parent company that also looks after Peugeot, Citroen, Vauxhall and more.
