Start nowSport is a popular trim level on this premium family hatchback, and blends the looks and kit of higher trim levels with the affordability of lower-spec models.
There’s no shortage of used Audi A3 Sport models for sale because it’s a trim level that has been available on all generations of this car.
Because Audi belongs to the Volkswagen Group, you benefit from the group’s economical petrol and diesel engines, as well as some eco-friendly plug-in hybrid models.
There are endless engines to pick from, but for newer models, you’ll see a range of 110hp 1.0-litre and 150hp 1.5-litre petrols, badged 30 TFSI and 35 TFSI, as well as a 150hp 2.0-litre diesel, badged 35 TDI.
You can also get a 204hp 1.4-litre plug-in hybrid, which Audi reckons will do more than 30 miles on electric power alone, which is enough for many commutes.
Some older models also came with a 190hp 2.0-litre petrol engine, a 180hp 1.8-litre petrol engine, a 116hp 1.6-litre diesel engine, and the same 184hp 2.0-litre diesel engine as you’d get in a Mk7 Volkswagen Golf GTD.
There are lots of model years to pick from so kit varies from car to car, but some highlights of the latest models include parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, cruise control and a touchscreen infotainment system.
Depending on the individual model you get, you could also see things like a reversing camera, a digital instrument cluster and an upgraded sound system.
Even previous-generation models come with things like integrated headlight washers, an electronic parking brake and a pop-up infotainment screen.
Sport has always been a mid-spec variant across Audi’s range and sits below the popular S line trim.
Some of the more expensive trim levels include aggressive-looking Black Edition cars and premium-feeling Vorsprung models.
Entry-level SE, SE Technik and Technik are no longer available to buy new, but there are plenty on the used market.
