What is the Ford Fiesta Active 1?

In recent years, Ford has introduced a number of Active variants, which add rugged styling and a slightly raised suspension height.

In the case of a Ford Fiesta Active 1, you get a model that not only looks like a crossover but is also easier to get in and out of.

The Active 1 is the more affordable of the Active range, but you still get plenty of equipment and access to Ford’s renowned EcoBoost engine.

What are the Ford Fiesta Active 1 specs?

Most drivers opt for one of the two 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol options – either a 100hp or 125hp unit.

You won’t get the more powerful 140hp model unless you go for a higher-spec Active B&O or Active X trim.

There’s also an 85hp 1.5-litre diesel option, which is incredibly economical, but if you want the 120hp model, you’ll have to go for a higher trim level again.

Drivers who like automatic gearboxes will be limited to the 100hp 1.0-litre option, but this is still an excellent engine.

Used Ford Fiesta Active 1 features and equipment

Standard equipment on the Ford Fiesta Active 1 includes electric windows, lumbar adjustment for the driver’s seat and tinted windows.

Being an Active, you also get silver roof bars, tweaked bumper designs, a raised ride height with tweaked suspension and several drive modes, including one for slippery conditions.

It’s built on entry-level Zetec models, so you’ll also get everything they come with, like a heated windscreen, air-conditioning and a slick eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Where the Fiesta Active 1 sits in the Ford range

Since its introduction, Ford has offered several trim levels across the Fiesta range, but when the Active 1 was on sale, the range kicked off with entry-level Zetec cars.

The Active 1 is based on the Zetec, and you can also upgrade to Active B&O and Active X trims. There are also more normal-looking Titanium and Titanium X editions, which are incredibly popular, and a very premium Vignale model.

If the sound of a hot hatch is appealing, you can have a Fiesta ST, but many drivers opt for an ST-Line or ST-Line X, which look similar but have more economical engine options.
