What is the Volkswagen Arteon R-Line?

An Arteon is similar in size to a Passat, but it has a much more useful hatchback-style boot opening and looks a lot smarter with an almost coupé-like silhouette.

Getting a used Arteon R-Line means that you can take this one step further by benefitting from Volkswagen’s stylish trim, which is loaded with enough kit to rival a more luxurious car.

Power comes from a range of punchy yet efficient Volkswagen engines, so you’ll have no worry of racking up big fuel bills.

What are the Volkswagen Arteon R-Line specs?

Although there are only a few engine options available, the choice that they give you is seriously impressive.

There’s a 150hp 1.5-litre petrol and a 190hp 2.0-litre petrol for those who tend to drive around town, and a pair of 2.0-litre diesels with 150hp and 200hp that should be more efficient on longer trips.

Volkswagen’s excellent 1.4-litre plug-in hybrid is also available, which develops 218hp and should do more than 30 miles on an electric charge.

Besides engines, there’s a choice of manuals, smooth-shifting dual-clutch automatics, and even four-wheel drive.

Besides those, you can get a Volkswagen Arteon R, which has the same 320hp 2.0-litre petrol engine as you’d find in a Volkswagen Golf R.
