What is the Volkswagen Polo United?

Volkswagen introduced United to the Polo and two other models in 2020, three years after the sixth-generation Polo first went on sale.

For the Polo, this means you get everything the Match model has plus a few extra useful gadgets, but the price you pay to upgrade can be minimal, especially when buying used.

This limited edition car is a great pick for first-time buyers because its small engines ensure it sits in lower insurance groups, but you also get a few additional bits of car tech to help the car feel more up-to-date.

What are the Volkswagen Polo United specs?

Engine choices for the Polo United are minimal, but you shouldn’t really need anything else. One of the two offerings is an 80hp 1.0-litre petrol.

We think the 95hp upgrade is worth spending the extra cash on because you get a turbocharger, so not only does it feel quicker, but you may see improvements to fuel economy because you haven't worked the engine as hard.

You won’t get access to the 115hp version of this turbocharged engine, as this is reserved for top-spec SEL cars, but the 95hp model is good enough for most.
