Audi has been making the A4 since the ‘90s and shared its underpinnings with the VW Passat, making it a dependable model. Some of the most notable are:

> Third-generation Audi A4 B7 (2004-2008) - this switched-up the styling and offered much more tech

What features does the Audi A4 have?

When it first went on sale in 2015, the Audi A4 came with xenon headlights, three-zone climate control and a touchscreen infotainment system as standard.  

Higher-spec models added more car tech, like LED headlights and a larger infotainment system.  

Fast-forward to its final years on sale before it was replaced by the A5, and the latest models come with an even bigger screen plus a digital instrument cluster.  

Other equipment includes all-round parking sensors, a reversing camera, cruise control and keyless start.

Audi has had many years to perfect the A4, and it also uses many of the same engines available in other models. The need to produce fewer parts helps improve overall quality.  

Audi is also a Volkswagen Group brand, so it benefits from the backing of other companies such as VW and Porsche.

Although it’s a reasonably sized saloon, its petrol and diesel engines are very efficient, and newer models get mild hybrid tech to reduce emissions (and your car tax bill).
